Job Requirements
- Some knowledge of cleaning procedures
- ability to follow instructions
- ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- availability to work during periods of adverse weather or emergencies
- capacity to perform physical tasks involving standing, lifting, and moving furniture
- willingness to work flexible hours based on departmental needs
- no required license or certification
- ability to complete and submit an electronic application
- eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Make sure all areas of the assigned building(s) inside and outside are clean, neat, tidy and sanitary
- vacuum, dust, mop, wax and buff floors
- clean windows and blinds
- move furniture
- sanitize restrooms
- collect and sort recyclables
- perform special cleaning projects
- replenish paper supplies and soap in toilets
- clean woodwork and baseboards
- shift furniture to clean area
- make minor repairs and report other repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
- shovel snow from walks and drive as assigned
- operate motorized cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, wet vacs, buffers, scrub machines
- perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment
- strip wax, buff and care for tile and terrazzo floors
- apply workplace safety techniques when mixing and using chemicals
- assist in setting up tables and chairs as needed
- complete assignments and work collaboratively under supervision of a Zone Manager
