Johanna Shores, a community within the PHS network, is situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Johanna in Arden Hills, Minnesota. The community is uniquely set in a beautiful, wooded lakeside environment, creating a serene and refreshing backdrop for both residents and staff. Located conveniently close to Minneapolis and St. Paul, Johanna Shores offers a variety of living options, including assisted living, assisted living with memory care, long-term care, and long-term care with memory care. The community provides employees with access to numerous amenities such as discounted meals, free fitness center access, and an onsite gift shop, enhancing the work experience in a peaceful and supportive atmosphere.

The Receptionist position at Johanna Shores is a temporary, full-time role, offering between 32 and 40 hours per week from Monday through Friday. Working under the direction of the Housing Administrator, the receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining positive public relations and delivering exemplary customer service that supports the community's dedication to quality care. This role demands a professional and courteous approach to all interactions, answering and transferring all telephone calls attentively and efficiently. The receptionist also serves as an important information resource for residents, visitors, and staff, and undertakes various administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

The position offers an estimated starting pay range of $19.09 to $20.59 per hour, which may vary based on individual qualifications and market conditions. Employees working 30 hours or more per week qualify for comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance with applicable Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), life insurance, retirement plans with employer matching, and holiday pay with extended sick leave. Part-time employees working between 20 and 29 hours per week are eligible for vision insurance, voluntary disability insurance, accident and hospitalization coverage, and education assistance programs. All employees, regardless of hours worked, accrue paid time off, have access to same-day pay, employee assistance programs, college partnership educational discounts, and mental health resources such as Learn to Live. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous receptionist experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with office equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Three months to twelve months work experience as a receptionist desired
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with various office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line phones, postage meter, fax machines
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with programs including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and Word desired
  • Compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers

Job Duties
