Job Requirements

  • Ability to logon, shutdown, initiate modems, manipulate files, install applications, send and receive emails, use web browsers
  • familiarity with Department of Defense or commercial petroleum operations
  • knowledge of petroleum system inspection and maintenance
  • participation in operational and safety training for hazardous materials
  • working knowledge of Fuels Manager Fuels Control Center User Manual - Navy edition
  • ability to obtain and maintain applicable base access and clearances
  • knowledgeable of radio communications and regulations for fueling and defueling aircraft
  • familiarity with base layout and aircraft servicing restrictions
  • highly preferred ability to obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Hazardous Material endorsements

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • experience with DoD or commercial petroleum operations and aviation fuel servicing procedures
  • knowledge of petroleum system inspection and maintenance practices
  • ability to interpret and comply with fueling and defueling regulations
  • strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • ability to obtain and maintain base access and clearances
  • familiarity with Fuels Manager Fuels Control Center User Manual - Navy edition
  • capable of troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • preferably able to obtain Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Hazardous Material endorsements as per DOT

Job Duties

  • Operate site-specific dispatch system including Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) Dispatch Module, use Business System Management-Enterprise (BSM-E) and Enterprise Business System (EBS) platforms
  • communicate via hand-held radios to dispatch truck drivers
  • perform administrative duties like answering phones, filing paperwork, monitoring driver progress, processing fuel orders
  • analyze and troubleshoot hardware/software issues to maintain data flow and output integrity
  • maintain familiarity with base layout, outlying fields, airfield, and aircraft parking restrictions
  • occasionally service aircraft as required
  • ensure compliance with regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of government and civilian aircraft
  • document aircraft fuel servicing using government forms
  • participate in operational and safety training related to hazardous materials and equipment handling
