The University of Notre Dame’s Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently seeking on-call and temporary Dining Room Attendants for Rohr's, a well-loved dining establishment on campus known for its quality food, excellent service, and warm Irish hospitality. As part of the UOES division, which manages event coordination, hospitality, and customer service across the university, these roles provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the Notre Dame community and contribute to memorable dining experiences. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in dining or hospitality services is an advantage
  • ability to work early morning shifts including breakfast and brunch hours
  • reliable and punctual with excellent attendance
  • physically able to stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
  • ability to follow health and safety standards and food safety procedures
  • effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
  • positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills
  • ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
  • follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Job Duties

  • Replenish water and condiments for guests
  • carry trays to assist with service
  • clear any used or unwanted items from tables
  • clear tables of dishes, glassware, and silverware
  • stack dishes as instructed for efficient transport
  • safely transport soiled items to the dishwashing area for cleaning
  • adhere to all established Morris Inn recycling practices
  • exercise caution and care when handling china, glassware, and silverware to prevent breakage
