Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- previous customer service or cashier experience preferred
- attention to detail and accuracy
- reliable and dependable
- ability to interact with diverse and varied populations
- fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by first day of work as required by Cambridge Public Schools
- willing to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- competent in operating computers and cash registers
- able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous customer service experience preferred
- ability to operate point of sale systems and computer software
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
- physical ability to perform job duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Work under the direction of the assigned school Head of Kitchen
- operate district issued point of sale system including computer software and register
- check student trays and meals to ensure all offer versus serve requirements are met
- assist with food ordering and inventory control
- assist and may perform checking of deliveries confirming that items received match requested quantities and quality
- assist with food preparation and documentation of production and food temperatures
- help track daily temperature records of cold storage units and report issues
- submit accountability reports per state and federal requirements
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of student dining and kitchen areas
- demonstrate high standards of customer service working cooperatively with school administrators, co-workers, school staff, and students
- perform other duties as assigned by Food Service office or Head of Kitchen
