Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar role preferred
- work or lived experience may substitute for education requirements on a case-by-case basis
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to perform repetitive motions and multitask
- ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds occasionally
- completion of annual food safety courses
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- vaccination against influenza and COVID-19, including all boosters, barring approved exemptions

- knowledge of coffee brewing and espresso preparation preferred
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the café and engage with them in a friendly and courteous manner
- take orders accurately, provide recommendations, and answer questions about the menu items and preparation methods
- brew coffee, prepare espresso drinks, and craft specialty beverages using coffee machines and other equipment
- prepare and serve food items such as sandwiches, salads, pastries, and baked goods according to café recipes and standards
- complete annual food safety courses required by the local food code
- follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and beverage ingredients
- operate POS system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
