The Teller position at Coastal1 Credit Union's Main Branch in Pawtucket offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in customer service and cash handling. As the first point of contact for members, Tellers play a critical role in building and nurturing positive member relationships by delivering courteous and knowledgeable service at every interaction. This role involves accurately processing various member transactions such as withdrawals, deposits, check cashing, loan payments, cashier's checks, and money orders while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

In addition to transactional duties, Tellers at Coastal1 are instrumental in helping members understand the credit union's wide range of products, services, and the latest in technology-driven banking solutions. This includes guiding members on leveraging self-service tools to manage their finances efficiently and encouraging smarter banking habits. The role requires a commitment to learning and adhering to Coastal1's policies, procedures, and compliance regulations to ensure a secure and trustworthy banking environment. Job Duties

  • Provide excellent member service from start to finish with each member
  • process all member transactions accurately and promptly including withdrawals, deposits, check cashing, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders and inquiries
  • perform transactions discreetly and confidentially
  • follow established processes and guidelines adhering to all applicable policies, laws, and regulations
  • complete assigned compliance training within required time frames
  • assist members with general account questions within the scope of their role
  • know when to refer members to the appropriate team member for additional services
  • prioritize learning about products and services and navigate internal portals efficiently
  • perform other duties as required
