The Teller position at OneAZ Credit Union's Sawmill Branch (825 E Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86001) offers a career opportunity that truly matters. This role focuses on delivering excellent personal service by assisting members with their financial transactions across various types of accounts. As a Teller, you will be responsible for receiving and disbursing money, verifying amounts, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. The position emphasizes trust, accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility, ensuring members have confidence in their financial dealings.

Beyond handling routine transactions like deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, tellers at OneAZ play an important role in promoting credit union products and services, helping to foster financial well-being among members. You'll be involved in processing loan payments, managing ATM and night depository cash, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist members with financial transactions on all types of accounts
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsement
  • Cash checks and pay out money after verifying signatures and member balances
  • Enter members' transactions into computer systems and issue receipts
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds
  • Order daily cash supply and count incoming cash
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and reconcile with computer data
  • Explain, promote, or sell credit union products and services
  • Remove deposits from and balance cash in automated teller machines and night depository
  • Accept loan payments
  • Comply with Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC, and other applicable regulations
  • Develop understanding of credit union philosophy, bylaws, and operational procedures
