The role offered operates at an hourly wage of $31.20 and is a full-time position focused on the operation of equipment that blends raw materials to create beverage products precisely according to specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented professional responsible for weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to exact standards, ensuring that the final product meets all prescribed quality metrics. The operator will conduct routine tests on the products to verify mixture properties and consistencies. Monitoring is continuous as products are bottled or canned, ensuring that standards like product quality, fill levels, labeling accuracy, freshness dating, and container integrity are consistently maintained.

The role also involves regular recording of test data and communicating any necessary adjustments in the manufacturing process to uphold quality control. There is a responsibility to carry out periodic deep cleaning and sanitizing of blending and filling equipment, as well as production lines. Candidates should be prepared for physical aspects of the job, including lifting and carrying cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly over an extended work shift, and standing or walking continuously, as well as handling product samples.

This position is integral to the quality assurance and production efficiency at PepsiCo Beverages North America. Candidates will be expected to operate multiple production lines, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, and collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to solve issues swiftly. Emphasis is placed on keeping the workspace clean through good housekeeping practices and adhering strictly to all process guidelines. Regular, reliable attendance is essential.

Job Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift and carry cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly over a 10-12 hour period
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Ability to manipulate and handle product samples while sitting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow strict safety and quality procedures
  • Reliable and regular attendance
  • Willingness to perform deep cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
  • Able to work full-time shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with audit compliance such as monitoring, documentation, and variance explanation
  • Experience with product changeovers including CIP, flavor changes, sanitizing, setting formulas
  • Experience operating testing instruments such as Carbo QC, HPLC, densitometers, water testing
  • Experience following standards of operations (SOPs)
  • Experience calibrating instruments such as making adjustments for accurate measurement
  • Experience with microbiology including product sensitivity and Category 3 and Category 4 products
  • Experience with reverse osmosis/water treatment systems including permeated technology
  • Experience with cooling/ammonia systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Experience with mechanical systems for general troubleshooting, cleaning and reassembly
  • Experience with sensory testing such as taste, odor, appearance versus reference sample
  • Experience with basic chemistry including titrator, pH, dosing, graduated cylinders, mixing
  • Experience with food safety including AIB certification and operations prerequisite programs

Job Duties

  • Operate and monitor production lines to ensure efficiency
  • Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
  • Perform tests and use special equipment to ensure package and product quality
  • Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
  • Clean equipment and area during and after shift
  • Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
  • Follow process guidelines and expedite quality concerns to management
  • Work with production and maintenance as necessary
  • Keep daily records of tests performed and results
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
