The Quality Control Field Technician plays a crucial role at Star Construction, LLC. This hourly position is based in Lexington, KY, and requires the ability to work in various weather conditions and remote locations, including occasional travel and overtime. A Quality Control Field Technician is accountable for ensuring construction and installation projects comply with specified quality standards and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle. This involves performing detailed quality inspections, conducting precise testing, monitoring adherence to installation milestones, and documenting all findings accurately. The technician aids in identifying and resolving issues promptly, thus supporting continuous quality improvements.
The role demands strong collaboration with construction teams and management to uphold industry best practices and Customer Installation Standards. The technician will routinely work independently in field locations and use various tools and technologies to carry out inspections and report non-compliance instances. The position requires physical stamina and agility, as tasks include climbing stairs, working at heights, lifting heavy materials, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Job Requirements
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record
- One year of relevant work experience
Job Qualifications
- Quality control experience preferred
- Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices
- Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation
Job Duties
- Conduct quality inspections during the installation process to ensure work meets plans and specifications
- Perform final inspections as requested by customers to ensure compliance with construction standards
- Identify issues and report them to relevant team members for resolution
- Record and follow up on non-compliance issues until they are resolved
- Ensure all required testing is completed as specified and document the results
- Follow installation milestones and support project activities as directed by management
- Work overtime, travel, and handle on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed, and perform duties in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
