Job Description

The position is for a Team/Crew Leader at a fast-paced restaurant environment focused on delivering quality products and exceptional service to guests. The Team/Crew Leader role is a vital component in overseeing daily operations by performing, leading, and supervising basic operational duties. This nonexempt position reports directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD) and plays a key role in ensuring that the restaurant meets operational standards flawlessly. With a minimum shift expectation of 30 hours per week, including irregular hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays, this role demands flexibility and commitment. The establishment is a customer-oriented food service business where maintaining high standards in food preparation, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction is essential to success.

This role requires hands-on leadership involving various station duties including fountain and frozen products, dressers, front and back swamps, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru functions if applicable. The Team/Crew Leader is responsible for ensuring smooth operations through direct participation and supervision of daily team activities. They assist in new employee orientation and training, promoting a cooperative and efficient work environment. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards is mandatory to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold the brand's reputation.

The role involves performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks such as trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food prep tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food prep areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease, all in accordance with operational guidelines. Attendance and punctuality are critical components to support continuous service operations. Additional responsibilities include leading shift meetings, reporting customer or employee complaints to management, moving and stocking food product weighing up to 50 pounds, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Working in this role entails continuous physical activity such as standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting within a dynamic restaurant atmosphere. There is frequent exposure to heat and hot liquid shortening during cooking processes, as well as exposure to freezer temperatures while stocking food. The successful candidate must be capable of managing these environmental factors with safety and efficiency in mind.

Job Duties
