The role offered at Chuze Fitness is a key position within the company’s customer engagement and operational team. As a valued team member, you will be on the frontline of creating memorable and welcoming experiences for current and prospective gym members. This is a part-time or full-time position with an hourly salary ranging from $14.25 to $15.34, depending on your experience and skills. The role is centered around hospitality and customer service, where your ability to greet and interact warmly with members, manage phone communications, guide new members through sign-ups and gym tours, and maintain the gym environment’s cleanliness will be paramount. Additionally, you will handle point-of-sale transactions, assist with billing concerns, and support maintenance of membership knowledge including amenities, fitness programs, and equipment functionality.
This role demands a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the gym facility, ensuring the environment is inviting and safe for all users. Your engagement in training and continuous learning via the company's Learning Management System (LMS) will help you stay up to date with all policies, procedures, and educational materials relevant to your position. Responsibilities also include making and serving smoothies at locations with smoothie bars, adhering to customer specifications and quality standards. Regular participation in team meetings will further enable collaboration and communication across the team. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods, walk and climb stairs, bend, kneel, perform repetitive arm movements, and lift weights up to 50 pounds, ensuring you can handle the physical demands of the job.

Job Requirements
- Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
- able to tour the gym including walking and climbing stairs
- able to bend, kneel, and perform repetitive arm movements
- able to stand for long periods
- able to operate a computer
- able to lift at least 50lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- basic computer skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well in a team
- willing to learn and complete training
- ability to follow directions and multitask effectively
Job Duties
- Welcome, greet, and interact with all members, prospective members, and guests
- provide membership information and facilitate tours
- complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
- membership sign-ups, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and addressing member concerns
- assist with billing issues and disputes and escalate to leadership when needed
- regularly review and complete all training materials and updates in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- maintain knowledge and assist members with all amenities, membership offerings, fitness programs, and equipment functions
- make and serve smoothies, if applicable, ensuring they meet customer specifications and maintaining quality standards
- attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings
