Job Description
Bob Barker Company is a well-established organization known for its commitment to creating a supportive and welcoming work environment for its team members. With a focus on fostering collaboration, relaxation, and wellness, Bob Barker Company offers a beautiful cafe and patio designed specifically for team members to enjoy free coffee and healthy snacks. This inviting space serves as a hub for employees to recharge during their workday and engage in casual interactions that enhance workplace camaraderie and team dynamics. The company values its employees and strives to provide facilities and services that contribute positively to their overall work experience and well-being.
As a Team Member Concierge at Bob Barker Company, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cafe and patio areas as warm, welcoming, and clean environments for all team members and guests. Your responsibilities will extend beyond basic upkeep to managing all aspects of cafe operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, stocking, packaging snacks, and organizing the space to ensure it meets the company’s high standards. You will be the face of the cafe for team members, greeting each individual as they arrive and fostering a friendly atmosphere by introducing colleagues who may not yet know one another. Your role is not only operational but also social, as you help create a sense of community and belonging within the workplace.
In addition to day-to-day operations, you will assist with the coordination of food ordering, setup, pickup, management, and cleanup for special meetings and events such as seminars, board meetings, lunch and learns, and company celebrations. This means you will be integral in supporting company culture and ensuring that events run smoothly with well-managed catering services.
Your responsibilities also include diligent management of cafe inventory. You will be expected to shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, and other items as needed, maintain proper stock levels of coffee, snacks, and supplies, and ensure that all necessary utensils and cleaning products are readily available. Accurate tracking of cafe expenses using Excel and managing the credit card for purchases are key components of your role to ensure budget compliance. You will also be responsible for adhering to all food safety procedures, guaranteeing the freshness and proper storage of all food items in the cafe.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization is a critical aspect of the position. You will ensure that all common areas, including the cafe, vending machine area, meeting rooms, chapel, fitness center, restrooms, and patio, are clean and sanitized. Other duties involve running dishwashers, cleaning kitchen appliances, restocking essentials like soap and paper towels, and managing waste disposal. Additionally, you will help prepare office workstations for new team members, contributing to a positive onboarding experience.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with ServSafe certification preferred or a willingness to obtain it upon hire. Food service experience, knowledge of food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel are important qualifications. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely as an essential job function. You must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for events outside these hours.
Bob Barker Company values qualities such as a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently with integrity, and strong organizational and multitasking skills. They are committed to equal opportunity employment, supporting individuals with disabilities and protected veterans, and maintaining a drug-free workplace. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a company that prioritizes employee wellness and community within a dynamic, friendly, and supportive environment.
