Job Requirements
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work varied hours including days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and cash registers
- Ability to lift, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 pounds and merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, twist, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise
- Ability to safely operate store equipment including forklifts and balers (if applicable)
- Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills
- Successfully complete all required training including propane certification (if applicable)
- Ability to handle birds and poultry safely
- Ability to complete job-related documentation accurately
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service using the GURA approach
- Operate cash register/computer following company cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight processes
- Complete Plan-o-gram merchandising, sets, and resets
- Assemble merchandise
- Perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler (if 18 or older)
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds
- Complete all related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
