Job Requirements
- Ability to move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with material handling equipment
- Ability to lift or reach merchandise overhead
- Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently
- Ability to move throughout the store for entire shifts
- Ability to operate store equipment such as dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register
- Ability to consistently operate computer and cash register
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to process transactions through point-of-sale system
- Ability to handle and be in contact with birds and poultry
- Ability to complete required training and certifications (including propane dispensing certification if age appropriate)
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail, farming, ranching, pet, equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA (greet customers, uncover needs, recommend solutions, add value and appreciate customers)
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Recover and merchandise products, including completing plan-o-grams
- Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler when age permits
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure safety and well-being of birds including sanitizing and maintaining poultry holding tanks
- Complete all required documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
