Job Requirements
- No experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash register, forklift, baler, and computer (forklift and baler operation restricted to those 18 or older)
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and move throughout the store for entire shifts
- Ability to handle and care for birds and poultry
- Ability to successfully complete all required training and certifications including propane dispensing (if applicable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and adding value
- Operate cash register and computer following established cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process
- Complete plan-o-gram merchandising procedures, assemble merchandise, perform janitorial duties, and execute price changes or markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler (if 18 or older)
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure legendary shopping experience that differentiates from competitors
- Maintain safety and well-being of birds, sanitize poultry holding tanks, and provide required care
- Complete all required documentation associated with duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
