The Team Member position at Caribou Coffee is foundational to the guest experience, embodying the brand’s values and purpose in every customer interaction. As a Team Member, you will be responsible for creating day-making experiences by delivering exceptional customer service, hand-crafting beverages according to Caribou’s standards, and supporting team operations through various roles.

This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills and technical proficiency in beverage preparation. Team Members develop ongoing personal relationships with guests by practicing active listening, anticipating needs, and providing enthusiastic, knowledgeable recommendations. Additionally, the position involves managing cash transactions, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and stepping into multiple roles as needed to ensure smooth operation.   • restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • provides incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
  • practices active listening and connection
  • anticipates guest needs and proactively solves guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
  • makes enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
  • creates day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD
  • hand-crafts beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
  • heats, prepares, and serves Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
  • floats between barista and guest service, and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities
  • takes guest orders and manages cash drawer and follows all cash handling policies and procedures
  • maintains the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
  • actively thinks and acts upon what the team and guest will need in the future
  • differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
  • understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders
