Job Description
Regal Cinemas is a leading entertainment company dedicated to providing an exceptional movie-going experience to audiences worldwide. As one of the largest and most recognized cinema chains, Regal operates numerous theaters equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering a variety of viewing options including premium formats like 3D, RPX, and IMAX. Known for its commitment to customer service, Regal continuously strives to deliver an enjoyable, safe, and memorable experience for all guests who visit its theaters. The company's mission centers on delivering excellent service and ensuring every guest has a great time watching movies in a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment.
The Team Member role at Regal Cinemas is a dynamic and integral position focused on enhancing guest satisfaction through various responsibilities tailored to individual theater needs. Team members may be classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly, depending on theater staffing requirements and employee availability. These roles cover multiple job functions including working in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Regardless of assignment, team members are expected to represent Regal with professionalism consistent with the company’s mission statement and policies, fostering a positive atmosphere for both guests and coworkers.
As a Team Member, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all guests receive top-notch service during their visit. In the Box Office, you will operate the point of sale (POS) system, handle transactions accurately involving cash, credit cards, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, and actively promote premium experiences like 3D and IMAX screenings as well as the Regal Crown Club rewards program. Adherence to MPAA film rating guidelines and company policies is vital to ensure responsible ticket sales.
Those assigned to the Concession Stand will also operate POS systems, manage concession inventory, and prepare concession items while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Promoting loyalty programs, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and possibly selling alcohol if certified and legally authorized are critical parts of this role. The position requires an understanding of meal and break regulations as well as mandatory training on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher roles focus on guest relations, including checking tickets, helping patrons find their seats, managing crowd control, and conducting security and cleanliness checks in auditoriums. Ushers also assist with in-auditorium concession sales and ensure the theater remains a safe and pleasant environment by reporting any unusual occurrences to management.
This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and attention to detail in all tasks. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally, and the ability to see clearly at various distances. Team members are expected to maintain consistent attendance and comply with the company dress code. Completion of the cast certification and box office training programs, or active progress towards them, is required along with applicable alcohol service certifications.
Overall, the Team Member role at Regal Cinemas promises a rewarding work environment where employees can gain valuable customer service experience, work as part of a team, and contribute to the entertainment experiences of moviegoers. Employment offers the opportunity to work in one of the most recognized brands in the entertainment industry while developing skills that can advance career prospects. Benefits and employee support programs further enhance the appeal of this position, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a flexible and engaging work role in a dynamic and fun setting.
