Job Description

This job opportunity is for a position at a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee of Jack in the Box. It's important to note that the employer will be the independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc., which means that all employment-related matters including hiring, wages, staffing, supervision, and scheduling will be managed by the franchisee. Jack in the Box is a well-known fast-food restaurant chain, recognized for its commitment to delivering quality food and excellent guest experiences through its system and standards. This particular restaurant prides itself on maintaining high levels of food quality, cleanliness, and friendly service in a fast-paced environment, operated under Jack in the Box’s established procedures and guest expectations.

The role involves responsibility for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing top-notch service, serving quality and great-tasting food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming restaurant environment. Team members work at one or more workstations to meet Jack in the Box's 20/20 guest expectations which emphasize well-trained staff, neatness and grooming, friendliness, being well staffed, and ensuring the food tastes great. Employees are expected to have a thorough understanding of the menu and food safety policies, to consistently provide quick and accurate service, and to create a positive and memorable experience for guests.

This position demands a high level of commitment to team collaboration and the Jack in the Box brand. Employees act as brand ambassadors who are passionate about the business and inspire their colleagues to embrace the brand values. Candidates will engage guests with a friendly attitude, address their needs proactively, and handle any guest complaints professionally using the company’s 3-steps approach: Listen, Say Sorry, Make it Right. Maintaining a well-groomed appearance and adhering to uniform standards are also key elements of the role.

Daily responsibilities cover various areas including guest service in both dine-in and drive-thru formats, cleanliness duties inside and outside the restaurant, food assembly and preparation, receiving and storing products properly, and following strict food safety and quality guidelines. The role requires candidates to perform efficiently during busy periods without showing signs of stress and always maintain a clean and organized work area.

Applicants should be prepared for a physically active position that involves standing and walking for most of their shift, light lifting (15-25 lbs), good communication skills, and an ability to multitask effectively in a team environment. Previous experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful but not mandatory. The franchise offers reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure equal employment opportunities.

Employment with this restaurant will require agreement to compulsory binding arbitration of employment-related disputes as part of the hiring process. Overall, this is a dynamic and rewarding job for individuals looking to be part of a dedicated team delivering fast, friendly, and quality food service under the reputable Jack in the Box brand.
