Job Description

Caribou Coffee is a renowned coffeehouse brand committed to creating day-making experiences that spark a continuous chain reaction of positivity and good vibes. Established as a leader in the specialty coffee market, Caribou Coffee places great emphasis on three key pillars: the team, the guest, and the business. This focus ensures a vibrant and inclusive culture that welcomes individuals who want to be themselves while making a meaningful impact in their community, developing life-long relationships, and serving the best coffee available. The company fosters a supportive and energetic environment, inviting passionate individuals to join the "'Bou Crew" – a team united by a shared purpose to deliver exceptional service and create memorable moments for every guest.

The Team Member position at Caribou Coffee is central to this experience. As the core of the Caribou experience, Team Members are responsible for providing unparalleled guest service and hand-crafting beverages that meet the company’s high standards. This role requires individuals who embody Caribou’s Purpose and Values, bringing them to life in every guest interaction. Team Members play a multifaceted role: they connect with guests through active listening and tailored service, anticipate and proactively address guest needs, and consistently make knowledgeable recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction.

In addition to delivering exceptional service, Team Members are intricately involved in the preparation and presentation of Caribou’s food and beverage offerings. They follow meticulous standard operating procedures to maintain the quality that the brand is known for. Flexibility is key as Team Members float between barista duties and guest service responsibilities to ensure smooth store operations. Cash handling and order management are also important aspects of the job, requiring a high degree of trustworthiness and accuracy.

Maintaining the store's cleanliness, organization, and adherence to sanitization standards is vital to create a welcoming environment for all. Team Members are encouraged to think ahead, anticipating the needs of both the team and guests. They demonstrate strong teamwork by supporting one another, embracing a growth mindset, and taking ownership of their role. Resilience under pressure and a willingness to seek help when necessary are also important traits. Ultimately, Team Members are expected to show up ready to make a positive impact, serve with love, and make fun happen while honoring Caribou’s core values: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, and Serve With Love.

Caribou Coffee offers a competitive compensation range of $11.23 to $18.71 per hour, depending on local and state minimum wage regulations and the candidate's experience. The position involves physical demands such as seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and intermittent movement during the workday. Reasonable accommodations are available for those who need them. Caribou Coffee fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, prohibiting discrimination or harassment of any kind. They welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to accommodating special needs during the hiring process. The work location for this position is at 100 - W. 6th Street, Monticello, Minnesota 55362.

Joining Caribou Coffee as a Team Member means becoming part of a passionate community that celebrates individuality while working cohesively to create outstanding guest experiences. The role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth in a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes joy, connection, and delivering excellence. If you are a dependable, enthusiastic individual who thrives in a customer-focused environment and values teamwork, then the 'Bou Crew is eager to welcome you aboard.
