The role of Team Member in our restaurant is vital to the smooth daily operation of food preparation and customer service. This position involves a wide range of duties from greeting customers and taking orders to preparing and packaging food and drinks, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness of both the kitchen and dining areas. Working as a Team Member requires adaptability, efficiency, and a positive attitude to handle multiple responsibilities under varying conditions. Our Team Members utilize proper food safety and sanitation practices while using tools and equipment such as fryers, grills, cooking vats, and ice machines. The job also includes the responsibility of handling customer payments accurately and unloading deliveries.

This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training for learning all operational facets including POS Cash Register systems, kitchen screens, and recipes. No prior supervisory responsibilities are associated with this role. Physical activity is part of the job, often involving standing, walking, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and managing a moderate to high noise level environment. The position is well suited for individuals who enjoy dynamic, social roles requiring multitasking and effective communication.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service helpful but not required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 25 to 50 pounds
  • Must comply with all applicable Child Labor Laws
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain good personal hygiene and grooming standards
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the country
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace

Job Duties

  • Greet and thank customers
  • Place customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems
  • Relay customer food and beverage orders from service counter to kitchen operations
  • Cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages by using kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, cooking vats, ice machines, and food processors while following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Stock kitchen and customer service areas with food, beverage, packaging and service materials
  • Stock salsa bars with sauces, condiments, paper and utensils
  • Fill food and beverage orders as part of coordinated operations
  • Collect customer payments and return proper change using cash register
  • Unload deliveries of food, beverage, packaging and serving materials
  • Clean the entire restaurant premises including floors, tables, seats, windows, countertops, kitchenware, and equipment
  • Observe and follow alcoholic beverage laws when applicable
  • Maintain safe public access to the restaurant
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
