This position is for a Team Member at Caribou Coffee, which represents the heart and soul of the Caribou experience. As a Team Member, you play a crucial role in bringing the company’s purpose and values to life by creating outstanding day-making experiences for guests. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, crafting high-quality beverages, and supporting the overall store environment to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer visit. The Team Member is responsible for developing strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs, and actively contributing to the store’s operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy engaging with customers, and want to be part of a positive, team-oriented workplace.

The Caribou Coffee Team Member role is highly interactive, requiring a blend of interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and operational expertise. You will be expected to create personal connections with guests, make knowledgeable recommendations, and actively listen to enhance the guest experience. On the operational side, you will hand-craft beverages according to Caribou’s high standards, prepare and serve food offerings, manage cash handling tasks, and support your team in various capacities. The role requires flexibility, enthusiasm, and a commitment to embodying the company’s core values: supporting one another, making fun happen, being yourself, taking ownership, and serving with love.

This position requires physical stamina as you will be standing, bending, and moving for 4 to 8 hours per shift, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and move for 4 to 8 hours
  • ability to see, hear and speak clearly
  • willingness to work as part of a team
  • physical capability to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provides incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
  • practices active listening and connection

  • hand-crafts beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
  • heats, prepares, and serves Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
  • floats between barista and guest service and willingly fulfills all team member roles and responsibilities
  • takes guest orders and manages cash drawer and follows all cash handling policies and procedures
  • maintains the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization and organization standards
  • actively thinks and acts upon what the team and guest will need in the future
  • differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
  • understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders
