Job Description
Panera Bread is a well-established bakery-cafe chain known across the United States for its fresh, quality food and warm customer service. Founded with a mission to create a welcoming environment and serve delicious bakery and cafe items, Panera has grown into a beloved community staple. The company prides itself on giving back to local communities by donating unsold products to organizations that support those in need. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and community involvement, Panera creates an inclusive workplace where team members can thrive and contribute positively to both the business and their communities.
As a Restaurant Team Member at Panera Bread, you will become an essential part of a vibrant team dedicated to exceptional guest experiences. This role involves engaging with customers, ensuring they receive excellent service, and supporting the daily operations of a fast-paced bakery-cafe. Team Members at Panera are not only responsible for delivering a warm welcome and assisting guests but also for maintaining the quality and safety standards of the food served. You will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills across multiple positions within the cafe, such as cashier, baking, drive-thru (where applicable), salad and sandwich preparation, barista tasks, and general cleanliness duties like dishwashing and dining area upkeep.
At Panera, flexible scheduling is offered to accommodate both full and part-time team members, allowing for 15 to 40 hours of work per week depending on availability. This flexibility makes the position suitable for students, individuals seeking supplemental income, or those looking to grow a career in the food service industry. Competitive wages, bi-weekly pay cycles, and team tipping are significant perks, along with employee meal discounts that enhance the overall experience of working with Panera. Moreover, Panera encourages career growth with comprehensive training programs, skill development, and a clear path for advancement. Many retail managers began their journey as hourly associates, highlighting the company's commitment to internal promotion and employee development.
The culture at Panera is built on values such as warmth, belonging, growth, and trust. As a team member, you are expected to embody these values and contribute to a positive work environment where customers and team members alike feel welcomed and supported. This role requires dedication to health and food safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic setting. Overall, this position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about food service, motivated to learn new skills, and eager to be part of a community-focused company with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.
