Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • complete team leader training classes
  • ServSafe certification in certain states
  • ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk approximately 90-95% of shift
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and planning skills
  • must be dependable and reliable
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work with diverse teams
  • ability to manage cash handling and register operations
  • knowledge of Jack in the Box systems and policies
  • must follow all labor laws and restaurant policies

Job Qualifications

  • at least 18 years old
  • 6 consecutive months Jack in the Box experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment
  • knowledge of food safety procedures and standards
  • ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to work well with diverse groups
  • proven analytical, organizational and planning abilities
  • self-starter with initiative and responsibility
  • basic computer knowledge
  • demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • train and lead team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • ensure compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards
  • coach team members on job requirements and guest expectations
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness, both interior and exterior
  • assist with order taking and cashiering during busy times
  • monitor and enforce food safety policies and procedures
  • handle guest complaints using the Listen, Say Sorry, Make it Right approach
  • manage floor operations to ensure coverage of all roles and compliance with labor laws
  • oversee food preparation to ensure quality, appearance, and temperature standards are met
  • receive and store food products following established procedures
