This opportunity is for a Lead on Shift at the Westminster store located at 14694 Orchard Parkway #300, Westminster, CO 80023. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive pay rate of $23.12 per hour. The lead on shift plays a pivotal role in maintaining the flow of operations throughout every shift. Reporting directly to the Store Leader, this position requires an individual who can generate excitement and energy in every customer interaction while managing the team to deliver exceptional in-store experiences. The role involves guiding and coaching Game Facilitators, leading by example with a positive and solution-focused mindset. The lead on shift is the first point of contact for any customer escalations, technical troubleshooting, or operational challenges within the gaming rooms. This role demands excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to keep the team motivated and synchronized. The candidate also assists with inventory management and maintenance to ensure the facility and game rooms are always at their best. Working in a fun, fast-paced environment, the lead on shift is integral to Activate’s mission of creating memorable and engaging experiences for all visitors. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing leadership role
- ability to lift and carry merchandise supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
- capacity to bend stoop and reach for merchandise and cleaning tasks
- ability to stand for extended periods typically 8 hours
- ability to work shifts from 8 am to 1 am
- comfortable working in a loud environment with flashing lights and fog
- willingness to wear PPE and handle cleaning chemicals safely
- successful completion of a criminal record check
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar role with strong focus on engaging customer relations is preferred
- demonstrated collaborator with previous experience overseeing a team of 10 or more is an asset
- proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software is an asset
Job Duties
- Answer phones and emails and capitalize opportunities to accommodate customer needs
- troubleshoot challenges around bookings to secure them
- assist customers at check-in creating and receiving invoices taking payments and performing overrides
- resolve customer complaints and escalate to Store Leader as required
- effectively communicate status of facility including each room to team and customers
- ensure Activate Programs are applied in compliance with company standards
- train new employees and lead with knowledge focusing on customer success
- coach and foster relationships with customers employees and management
- oversee staff and delegate tasks during scheduled shifts
- facilitate solution minded processes for customer questions complaints and issues
- understand and assess maintenance requirements for inventory management and componentry
- maintain rooms by delegating cleaning painting and required maintenance
- receive track and maintain inventory for maintenance merchandise and vending products
- identify maintenance needs and coordinate appointments with Store Leader
