The role of Team Lead, Implementation is a critical leadership position within Adyen's Professional Services Team based in San Francisco. This role is ideal for an experienced and motivated leader passionate about guiding a team of Implementation Engineers focused on supporting large and strategic customers across North America. The Implementation Engineering team plays a vital role in solution design, helping clients integrate Adyen's financial technology platform quickly and efficiently while ensuring robust, scalable integrations. The projects handled by this team span a wide array of innovative areas including Online Payments integrations, In-Person Payments (IPP), Marketplaces, Card Issuing programs, and Financial Services.

As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for steering your team towards delivering outstanding customer experiences by managing seamless live integrations and overcoming complex technical challenges. You will serve as a mentor and escalation point for your team, fostering a collaborative environment that values open communication and continuous feedback. A key responsibility will be to scale the team while maintaining Adyen’s unique culture and operational excellence. You will champion change initiatives that improve processes and contribute strategically to the growth and evolution of the (global) implementation organization. This leadership role demands a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational success. The annual base salary range for this position is $184,000 to $276,000, reflecting the significant responsibilities and expertise required. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams of implementation managers technical consultants or solutions engineers
  • Experience working on integration projects within large global companies
  • Proven experience in driving process improvements and operational excellence
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a global organization and collaborate across time zones
  • Knowledge of payment technologies and financial services is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in building and managing a team of implementation managers technical consultants or solutions engineers for at least 2 years
  • Experience with integration projects within a large global company in professional services finance retail or general technology
  • Proven track record of driving global process change and setting up tools and procedures for operational success
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with global teams and collaborate on projects considering international time constraints
  • Clear understanding of the challenges of global commerce and the components required for client success across different regions

Job Duties

  • Lead a team of implementation managers to deliver a great customer experience and get customers live efficiently with robust integrations that scale well
  • Act as a sparring partner and escalation layer for the team of implementation managers helping to navigate complex projects and technical challenges
  • Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication and feedback culture
  • Scale up the team while preserving the Adyen formula and ensuring our unique culture is fostered
  • Be an ambassador of change and help lead the charge of new initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement by understanding what works today and leveraging ideas and insights to make the process better
  • Collaborate with cross functionality and drive initiatives to develop the global implementation organization
  • Help define and execute strategic initiatives with the goal of advancing our function's OKRs
