We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Cashier to join our team as a full-time employee. This role is essential for managing all financial transactions related to automotive service and parts sales, ensuring accurate handling of payments, and maintaining organized records. The Service Cashier will act as a key liaison between our customers and service advisors, providing courteous assistance and addressing inquiries or complaints with professionalism and integrity. Responsibilities include processing customer payments efficiently, balancing the cash drawer daily, and maintaining comprehensive data entry and filing practices. This position requires a candidate with strong mental aptitude, excellent verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate must be comfortable using computer systems and ten-key calculators and possess physical stamina to handle tasks that involve standing, walking, and light lifting as needed. Job Requirements

  • Valid TX DL and acceptable driving record
  • acceptable background review
  • negative drug screen
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • basic math, reading and writing skills
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral diagrammatic form
  • ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations
  • physical ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, grasp/grip, write/type, finger dexterity, work in a confined space, eye/hand/foot coordination, hearing, speaking and vision beyond arm's length
  • ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, reach above shoulders and lift/carry 1-25lbs

Job Duties

  • Refer customers who have additional questions to the service advisor or other appropriate individuals
  • handle customer complaints with integrity, poise, and pride
  • take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communication
  • balance cash drawer daily
