Job Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Masters degree or 150 college credit hours with accounting related courses, bachelor's degree may be considered
- CPA certificate required
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule based on business needs
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Masters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor's degrees may be considered in some situations)
- CPA certificate required
- Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at federal and state level
- Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience managing complex federal/state tax returns with multi-state and foreign operations
- Ability to prepare and review GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provisions
- Proven leadership and team supervision capabilities
- Effective client relationship and expectation management skills
Job Duties
- Manage all phases of tax compliance for assigned clients in various industries
- Participate in firm administration and leadership including staff and firm development
- Manage complex federal/state income tax returns with multi-state and foreign operations
- Prepare and review GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provisions and supporting documentation for worldwide provisions
- Supervise activities of the engagement team effectively
- Review staff and senior work timely and thoroughly to ensure objectives are achieved
- Provide seniors and staff with timely, honest, and constructive feedback and mentorship
- Manage multiple engagements to successful and efficient completion
- Generate, pursue, and assist in closing proposal opportunities with existing and/or potential clients
- Manage client expectations and day-to-day client relationships
- Ensure high responsiveness to client needs and requests
- Meet time deadlines while also meeting or exceeding quality requirements
- Motivate staff through professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
