Job Description

Landing is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that has developed the nation's largest flexible living network since its inception in 2019. Operating in over 35 markets with thousands of apartments under management, Landing offers a seamless living experience characterized by no deposits and minimal hassle for its members. The company specializes in flexible living solutions that cater to the needs of modern, mobile professionals and travelers who seek convenience and quality in their housing arrangements. Landing's growth trajectory is robust, thriving on adapting quickly to shifting priorities and rapid operational changes typical of real-world market demands. The company prides itself on its innovative approach to flexible living, ensuring members enjoy high standards of service, quality accommodations, and streamlined leasing processes.

The Task Force Manager role at Landing is essential in maintaining the company’s operational excellence across its diverse markets nationwide. This is a highly mobile, hands-on position responsible for managing full market operations in the absence of a General Manager. Task Force Managers deploy where business needs are greatest, often covering markets for one to three weeks at a time, ensuring continuity in member experience, property management relationships, maintenance coordination, and overall market performance. These managers are the sole point of accountability for market health during their assignments, managing everything from customer satisfaction metrics and unit quality to vendor coordination and key stakeholder relationships. The position demands a proactive leader who can adapt quickly, make decisions independently under pressure, and build trust with new teams and members in fast-paced environments.

The nature of this role involves substantial travel—approximately 80%—with assignments determined entirely by organizational need. Candidates positioned near major hubs, particularly Phoenix, are preferred for their logistical advantages, facilitating rapid deployment. Unlike traditional isolated management roles, this position requires agility and flexibility, stepping into ongoing operations without ramp-up time, and delivering results immediately. The Task Force Manager must effectively handle multiple simultaneous priorities, manage urgent issues with keen judgment, and maintain high standards for market growth and operational delivery.

Landing offers competitive compensation, including a base salary of $75,000, opportunities for stock options, and comprehensive employee benefits. The company supports career growth through internal promotions, particularly within its Field Operations management team. In addition to financial rewards, Landing fosters work-life balance and invests in its employees’ well-being with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, mental health, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending accounts. Employees also benefit from retirement plans with 401(k) options and access to ImmediatePay. Generous paid time off policies, coupled with travel perks such as an annual $750 credit for stays within Landing’s network, underline the company’s commitment to a supportive and engaging workplace.

As an equal opportunity employer, Landing values diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair consideration without bias related to sex, gender identity, race, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification. The company embraces the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, offering employment consideration to qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records. This commitment underscores Landing's mission to build a diverse and talented workforce aligned with the demands of a growing flexible living network.
