Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 years progressive hotel or related experience
- Or relevant college degree with appropriate years experience
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all employees and guests
- Effective listening and clarifying concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions using Highgate Hotel standards
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers and supervisors
- Ensure all department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through training programs
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on sales prospecting and account calls
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain direct contact with and monitor management trainees
- Adhere to all Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers for compliance
- Oversee and assist in the budget process as required
- Ensure training in service standards across departments
- Create a positive team environment focusing on guest service
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- Ensure invoice processing using A/P process daily
- Ensure timely submission of financial documents to Corporate Office
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of property through inspections
- Ensure employees maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient interactions
- Forecast monthly financial positions including revenue and expenses
- Conduct management interviews and hiring processes as per S.O.P.
- Interview final candidates for management positions before offers
- Perform Executive Committee performance appraisals
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel following S.O.P.
- Perform other duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- Ensure equitable treatment of employees
- Meet clients on property to support sales efforts
- Be present in public areas during peak times to assist guests
- Ensure hotel safe security and audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit policies
- Complete corporate training modules and certifications
- Ensure scheduled meetings occur on property
