Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years progressive hotel management experience
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Commitment to guest service excellence
  • Proficient in budget management and financial review
  • Comfortable with public speaking and client engagement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform under pressure
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and operational procedures
  • Ability to develop and motivate a team
  • Valid driver's license for travel
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Ability to listen and clarify concerns effectively
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as needed

Job Duties

  • Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and operation reviews
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs in a timely fashion
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure all department heads maintain budgeted productivity and standard accounting procedures
  • Develop managers for future advancement through training programs
  • Conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on prospecting and sales calls
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
  • Participate in scheduled M.O.D. coverage
  • Maintain direct contact with and monitor management trainees
  • Adhere to all company policies and train managers for compliance
  • Assist in budget processes and financial forecasting
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
  • Ensure complete processing of invoices and financial document submission
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of property through inspections and preventive programs
  • Foster a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest service
  • Conduct management interviews and ensure hiring compliance
  • Perform performance appraisals and manage disciplinary actions
  • Meet clients and assist in sales efforts on property
  • Be present in public areas during peak times to greet guests
  • Ensure security procedures and audits related to hotel safe
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
  • Complete corporate training modules and certifications
  • Ensure scheduled meetings take place as required on the property
