Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously as they enter the restaurant
  • Manage reservations and maintain an accurate count using the reservation book
  • Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders and requests, and relay guest needs to management and the kitchen
  • Maintain knowledge of daily activities, table setups, and restaurant hours, ensuring menus are current and in good condition
  • Frequently check on guests waiting to be seated, assuring them that their tables are being prepared
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, shutting down the podium and forwarding phones to voice-mail at the end of the shift
  • Assist food servers, bus persons, and food service runners as needed
