Job Description
Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services. They specialize in the transportation, storage, and processing of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. Enterprise Products Partners operates an extensive network that includes approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines, 260 million barrels of storage capacity, and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. Their marine transportation business primarily operates on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems, supporting a broad range of energy markets across North America.
This established company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Tank Truck Driver based in Baytown. The role involves the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of various energy products including crude oil, liquid petroleum gas (LPG), and refined products. As a sole operator and driver, the Tank Truck Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of these vital products while adhering to stringent safety and regulatory standards. This position offers full-time employment with highly competitive compensation, with drivers averaging over $100,000 annually.
The Tank Truck Driver is responsible for operating tank trucks and trailers while maintaining compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The job requires performing all necessary duties related to product delivery, including accurate paperwork handling, thorough vehicle inspections, and communication with customers and internal personnel. Drivers are expected to load and unload products using hoses and connections that can be physically demanding due to the weight and length of the equipment.
Additional responsibilities include the operation of onboard computer systems, maintaining required placarding, and handling vehicle controls and emergency equipment safely in all weather conditions. The role may require extended periods of sitting, working outdoors, and performing manual tasks such as connecting and disconnecting trailer components and performing field measurements according to API standards. Both day and night shifts may be available depending on the location, offering flexibility in scheduling.
Enterprise Products Partners provides a comprehensive benefits package, including referral bonuses, safety and performance bonuses, training opportunities, expense reimbursement, and sleeper berth pay. The company also offers a 401(k) plan with company matching, a profit-sharing program, paid time off with company holidays, and medical, dental, and vision insurance. They are committed to supporting their employees' professional growth and well-being, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to advance their careers in the energy transportation sector.
