Job Description
Taco Bell is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its innovative Mexican-inspired menu and commitment to delivering a unique dining experience. As a part of Cotti Foods Group, a franchisee that operates Taco Bell restaurants, this opportunity offers the chance to join a team that supports personal and professional growth. The franchise operates independently, setting its own wage and benefits programs to provide competitive compensation for its team members.
The General Manager position at Taco Bell is a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering the restaurant's operations and cultivating a high-performing team that consistently offers customers exceptional food and service. This role demands a strong leader who can establish a positive work culture, drive excellent customer service, and uphold the company’s standards. As the General Manager, you will oversee the full scope of restaurant operations including employee hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and financial oversight. These responsibilities require excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and motivate a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring crew members and shift supervisors understand and fulfill their duties, serving quality food in a friendly manner, and maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation standards. You will also manage critical business metrics by analyzing sales, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses to meet margin and sales growth targets. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the restaurant's budget and financial plans to ensure the business operates efficiently and profitably.
The General Manager plays a vital role in internal communication, regularly engaging with field leadership and restaurant staff to ensure alignment on goals and operational plans. Building a cohesive and effective team is another critical responsibility, achieved through targeted training, development, and timely performance feedback. You will also oversee health, safety, and security audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and Taco Bell’s internal policies. Maintaining the physical facility and equipment according to Taco Bell's standards and ensuring a safe environment for both guests and employees are also key aspects of this role.
This position requires at least 18 years of age and legal authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must obtain a food handler's certificate as required by state or local regulations and have reliable transportation to the worksite. Professional appearance and hygiene, flexibility with working hours, and punctuality are mandatory. A minimum of two years' experience in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment is essential, with preferred experience in food management and drive-thru operations.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional customer service skills. The ability to make sound decisions under pressure, communicate effectively, and maintain attention to detail are crucial for success. Physical requirements include the ability to lift between 10 to 40 pounds and the stamina to stand and walk for extended periods. This role offers a challenging and rewarding career pathway for individuals passionate about leading teams and delivering quality customer experiences at one of the most iconic names in fast food.
