The General Manager position at Taco Bell is a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering the restaurant's operations and cultivating a high-performing team that consistently offers customers exceptional food and service. As the General Manager, you will oversee the full scope of restaurant operations including employee hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and financial oversight. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the restaurant's budget and financial plans to ensure the business operates efficiently and profitably.

The General Manager plays a vital role in internal communication, regularly engaging with field leadership and restaurant staff to ensure alignment on goals and operational plans. Building a cohesive and effective team is another critical responsibility, achieved through targeted training, development, and timely performance feedback. You will also oversee health, safety, and security audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and Taco Bell’s internal policies. Maintaining the physical facility and equipment according to Taco Bell's standards and ensuring a safe environment for both guests and employees are also key aspects of this role.

This position requires at least 18 years of age and legal authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must obtain a food handler's certificate as required by state or local regulations and have reliable transportation to the worksite. Professional appearance and hygiene, flexibility with working hours, and punctuality are mandatory. A minimum of two years' experience in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment is essential, with preferred experience in food management and drive-thru operations.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional customer service skills. The ability to make sound decisions under pressure, communicate effectively, and maintain attention to detail are crucial for success. Physical requirements include the ability to lift between 10 to 40 pounds and the stamina to stand and walk for extended periods. Job Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • obtain a food handler’s certificate according to state or local requirements
  • 2 years quick service and fast-food restaurant experience
  • 2 years food management experience preferred
  • 2 years drive-thru experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Drive excellent customer service and maintain company standards
  • ensure crew members and shift supervisors complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner
  • analyze sales, labor, inventory, and controllables on a continual basis and take corrective action to meet or achieve margin and sales growth targets
  • oversee a team of associates in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that all proper food safety precautions are satisfied
  • manage the restaurant budget and financial plans
  • engaging in clear, consistent communications with field leadership and restaurant staff on a frequent basis
  • building an effective team through training and development and supplying meaningful and timely performance feedback
  • ensure food safety, quality, and sanitation including receiving shipments and maintaining proper storage of ingredients and supplies
  • oversee periodic health, safety, and security audits and initiate corrective action as necessary
