The role of Assistant Manager at Taco Bell is vital to ensuring an outstanding customer experience and promoting the brand’s standards in every shift. As an Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in setting the tone of the restaurant by leading and motivating Crew Members and Shift Supervisors to deliver safe, quality food and exceptional service. This position involves a balance of leadership, administrative duties, and hands-on operational management. You will support the General Manager by managing shifts, overseeing inventory control, conducting staff training, and maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. In the absence of the General Manager, you will take charge of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring that the location consistently meets Taco Bell’s high standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with hiring and developing team members, managing schedules, ordering supplies, overseeing the budget, and ensuring the restaurant complies with health, safety, and security regulations. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Obtain a food handler's certificate according to state or local requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good hygiene standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • One year supervisor role experience

Job Duties

  • Assist with management of all operations within the restaurant
  • Drive excellent customer service and maintain company standards
  • Assist with finding, hiring, and developing great Crew Members and Shift Supervisors
  • Oversee a team of associates in a fast-paced environment while ensuring all proper food safety precautions are satisfied
  • Draw up weekly schedules, order merchandise, and assist the General Manager with training, recruiting, promotions, and planning
  • Manage the restaurant budget and financial plans
  • Perform duties of a dining room cashier, drive-thru cashier, and drive-thru outside order taker
  • Create and maintain a positive and cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and sanitation including receiving shipments and maintaining proper storage
  • Oversee periodic health, safety, and security audits and initiate corrective action as necessary
  • Ensure the facility and equipment are maintained to Taco Bell standards
  • Follow proper opening and closing procedures
