Job Description

Sixty Vines is a vibrant and innovative restaurant chain that prides itself on offering chef-driven menus inspired by the seasonal cuisine of the wine country. Known for its commitment to fresh, local ingredients and scratch kitchen preparation, Sixty Vines provides guests with a unique dining experience where food is thoughtfully paired with an exceptional selection of wines. This establishment is dedicated to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy high-quality meals complemented by knowledgeable staff who expertly recommend the perfect glass of wine to enhance each dish. Sixty Vines emphasizes not only outstanding food and beverage but also excellent guest service, making every visit memorable and enjoyable.

The role of Host or Hostess at Sixty Vines offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and customer service in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them with a hospitable and friendly demeanor. This position requires managing reservations efficiently, handling incoming calls professionally, and ensuring that the entrance area and hostess stand remain clean and welcoming. Hosts play a crucial part in shaping the guests' dining experience by providing timely service, managing wait times, and offering alternatives when necessary to keep the restaurant operating smoothly.

Sixty Vines is committed to supporting its employees with valuable benefits designed to foster work-life balance and career growth. These include flexible schedules, paid time off after meeting certain criteria, insurance options after 60 days, and average compensation of $17 or more per hour including tips. Beyond material benefits, employees have access to unique perks such as quarterly wine country trips and opportunities to obtain WSET or sommelier certification, making it an appealing place for individuals interested in the culinary and wine industries. The company values a fun, energetic, and professional atmosphere where team members are encouraged to learn and grow.

Working at Sixty Vines as a host involves much more than seating guests. It requires attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, offering cocktail and appetizer suggestions during long wait periods, assisting with bussing tables when needed, and providing directions or any useful information guests might need. Hosts are also expected to be knowledgeable about the restaurant’s menu, daily additions, musical events, and wine or cocktail specials, so they can effectively answer guest inquiries and enhance the overall service experience.

Employees must exhibit professionalism through punctuality, appropriate uniform standards, and a proactive approach to guest interaction. The work environment at Sixty Vines fosters collaboration among team members and values guest satisfaction highly. The restaurant also participates in the E-Verify program to maintain a legal workforce and proudly upholds an equal opportunity employment policy. If you are someone who thrives in a dynamic restaurant setting, enjoys working with people, and has a passion for excellent service, the Host/Hostess role at Sixty Vines could be an excellent fit for you.
