Ocean Prime Las Vegas, a flagship restaurant within the Cameron Mitchell portfolio, is located at the bustling intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue, nestled between luxury destinations like Aria and The Cosmopolitan hotels. This impressive venue serves as the anchor for the 63 Las Vegas development, spanning over 14,000 square feet with a stylish rooftop terrace covering nearly 2,500 square feet. The Sushi Cook plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by preparing a variety of hot and cold food items including salads, sauces, side dishes, and appetizers while ensuring precise portions and presentation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to work
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary or sushi preparation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong knife skills

Job Duties

  • Reports to work on time as indicated on the work schedule
  • Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned
  • Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts
  • Preps all food to ensure that all items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards
  • Ensures guests have a superior dining experience by correctly prepping food products
  • Displays proper food safety techniques in handling and preparation including personal hygiene, hand washing, gloves, and knife skills
  • Knows emergency procedures for the restaurant
  • Maintains the highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety for the work area including prep tables, countertops, refrigeration units, floors, walls, and shelving
  • Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift
  • Immediately reports any unsafe condition or unsafe act, accident, or injury
