At EverBank Stadium, Delaware North is currently hiring experienced Sushi Cooks for seasonal employment. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and high-profile sports venue kitchen, where culinary creativity and precision are essential. Sushi Cooks at Delaware North are responsible not only for preparing high-quality sushi but also for leading and training kitchen team members. You will collaborate closely with the management team on menu planning, ensuring that food quality and presentation meet rigorous standards. This role requires adherence to strict health codes and sanitation regulations to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of every guest.

As a Sushi Cook, your responsibilities will extend beyond food preparation. You will manage kitchen equipment efficiently, maintain cleanliness and organization at your workstation, and monitor labor and overhead costs. Job Requirements

  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to reach up to seven feet, twist, bend, and squat
  • standing and walking for entire shift in moderate to high noise levels
  • manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip foods and operate kitchen equipment
  • exposed to variable temperatures
  • no high school diploma or GED required

Job Qualifications

  • at least 2 years of experience in a back-of-the-house food-service position
  • ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • basic math skills to calculate and follow recipe measurements
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and support kitchen team members

Job Duties

  • review menus and customer orders to determine food types and quantities to prepare and ensure portion sizes and quality standards
  • maintain proper food temperatures and storage
  • keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized
  • uphold kitchen and storage sanitation
  • use waste control guidelines and record waste on spoilage sheets
  • perform opening, closing, and side work duties
  • conduct end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
