Job Requirements

  • Must have prior professional experience with sushi preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • Compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations
  • Physical capability to work in a kitchen setting including standing for long periods
  • Must adhere to company policies including drug-free workplace
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Prior professional experience with sushi preparation and presentation
  • Ability to prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate food safety standards
  • Proven skills in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality sushi according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Ensures proper portion control, presentation, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • Assists in ordering, receiving, and record keeping of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Abides by all company policies and safety procedures including the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
  • Performs other duties as assigned
