Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
  • Ability to work on feet for up to 12 hours
  • Experience in basic sushi preparation
  • Strong knife skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical ability to lift products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Possess at least one year of restaurant cooking experience
  • Delivers superior food and beverage service and maximizes customer satisfaction
  • Upholds ideals, values, and practices that are the foundation of Mission Yogurt: loyalty, innovation, service, communication, and flexibility
  • Adheres to Mission Yogurt's safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies and practices
  • Ensures all operating and quality standards are met
  • Previous sushi preparation experience required
  • Upholds a professional and ethical management style and presentation
  • Assesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgment
  • Ensures safety and security of both guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to Mission's set standards
  • Aid fellow kitchen staff in the preparation of food items
  • Set up allocated stations as instructed by the Kitchen Manager
  • Embody and promote consistency and efficiency in food preparation, food handling, sanitization, and safety standards
  • Preparing sushi, sashimi, and other menu items according to company standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
