Job Requirements
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
- Ability to work on feet for up to 12 hours
- Experience in basic sushi preparation
- Strong knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical ability to lift products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Possess at least one year of restaurant cooking experience
- Delivers superior food and beverage service and maximizes customer satisfaction
- Upholds ideals, values, and practices that are the foundation of Mission Yogurt: loyalty, innovation, service, communication, and flexibility
- Adheres to Mission Yogurt's safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies and practices
- Ensures all operating and quality standards are met
- Previous sushi preparation experience required
- Upholds a professional and ethical management style and presentation
- Assesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgment
- Ensures safety and security of both guests and team members
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to Mission's set standards
- Aid fellow kitchen staff in the preparation of food items
- Set up allocated stations as instructed by the Kitchen Manager
- Embody and promote consistency and efficiency in food preparation, food handling, sanitization, and safety standards
- Preparing sushi, sashimi, and other menu items according to company standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
