Being part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm specializing in the luxury lifestyle and hospitality industries, Tao Group brings over 25 years of expertise to the table. This combination ensures that the company not only meets but consistently exceeds guest expectations by blending innovation, creativity, and exceptional service within every venue it operates.

The company offers a range of competitive benefits for all full-time team members, highlighting its commitment to employee well-being. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement program with employer match, life and disability insurance plans, ancillary insurance options, employee assistance programs, fertility and family-forming support resources, pet insurance, employee discounts, a savings marketplace, time off, and much more. This comprehensive benefits package underscores Tao Group Hospitality's dedication to fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.

The role available within Tao Group Hospitality is a supervisory position working closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the heart-of-house operations. This position demands a hands-on leader who can manage daily activities, ensure quality and safety compliance, develop team members, and maintain operational excellence in a high-volume kitchen setting. The supervisor works diligently to ensure the cleanliness and overall functionality of the kitchen and entire venue, coordinating daily pre-service meetings, and managing scheduling and training activities. They are responsible for maintaining recipe accuracy, managing inventory and payroll systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including health and safety standards.

This role involves a variety of responsibilities such as tendering support to the entire team, ensuring a positive team dynamic, and portraying a professional attitude and hospitality. The individual must also possess the capability to manage catering, take-out, and delivery services alongside in-venue and off-premise events, making sure the execution is seamless. The ability to communicate clearly during service and maintain high standards of expediting is critical to success in this position.

Candidates must have at least two years of culinary supervisory or management experience in a high-volume kitchen and previous experience as a sushi sous/cook. A preference is given to candidates holding a two-year associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience. Strong leadership, menu planning, coaching, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft products and POS systems, is required.

The work environment is fast-paced and demanding, with requirements to stand or sit for extended periods, lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs, and maintain high energy throughout the day. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. The role also demands maintaining a professional appearance, working effectively as part of a team, handling confidentiality, and thriving under pressure.

Tao Group Hospitality integrates modern technology and AI tools for recruitment and employee assessment, ensuring candidates are matched to roles effectively and efficiently. This innovative approach is part of Tao Group’s commitment to excellence and employee satisfaction.
