Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sushi preparation or culinary arts
  • Ability to demonstrate high-level knife and sushi preparation skills
  • Food handler's card preferred
  • Ability to follow corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Capability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to maintain workstation cleanliness and comply with safety standards
  • Physical ability to perform duties during peak production times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a sushi chef or in a similar food preparation role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knife skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers
  • Demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation
  • Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to assure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, safety, OSHA, production and merchandising requirements
  • Interact with customers to enhance dining experience
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers and associates
  • Keep up with peak production and service hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
