Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of sushi preparation experience
- International experience preferred but not required
- Fine dining, large-volume experience preferred
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Relocation to Madison, WI area with relocation assistance available
- COVID-19 vaccination
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in sushi preparation
- Experience working in fine dining or large-volume culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisines including China, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos
- Strong culinary skills in sushi artistry and food presentation
- Ability to mentor and guide culinary team members
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Job Duties
- Create and roll sushi menu items using fresh, quality ingredients
- Mentor and train kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques
- Collaborate on menu development to expand sushi and Southeast Asian cuisine offerings
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain inventory and order supplies related to sushi preparation
- Support daily culinary operations and assist in other kitchen areas as needed
- Provide exceptional dining experiences for staff, customers, and guests
