Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid food handlers card required
  • 1 or more years of relevant experience in food service, preferably in sushi preparation
  • ability to work full time or part time as needed
  • strong attention to detail and hygiene
  • physical ability to perform duties including maneuvering in a busy restaurant and operating equipment
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years culinary experience or culinary education preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
  • valid food handlers card required
  • knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
  • commitment to inclusive and diverse workplace culture

Job Duties

  • following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
  • maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
  • continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • additional duties may apply specific to each position
  • working with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure consistent and timely preparation of sushi bar items
  • progressing through roll case, front case, and wheel stations mastering sushi production
  • interacting with guests sitting at sushi bar
  • organizing orders and managing production workflow
