Job Duties

  • Operate in the sushi bar and/or back of the house ensuring food is prepared safely effectively and according to specifications or requests
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and complete
  • Follow recipes including measuring ingredients weighing and mixing ingredients
  • Bake grill steam boil fry and chop meat seafood fruits vegetables and grains
  • Present and garnish final dishes so that they are visually attractive
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Contribute to stocking ordering and purchasing of ingredients ensuring availability and freshness while minimizing spoilage and waste
  • Communicate issues with kitchen equipment utensils or other operating supplies to the Head Sushi Chef
  • Handle and store different types or ingredients appropriately
  • Maintain food and safety sanitation standards policies and procedures
