Job Requirements

minimum one year experience as a sushi chef
knowledge of restaurant kitchen procedures and basic knife skills
understanding of food preparation and health code standards
ability to work AM/lunch and evening dinner shifts
capacity to maintain professional dress, speech and behavior
compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

1+ year minimum experience as a sushi chef
formal culinary training a plus
excellent communication skills, verbal and written
knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Prepares food items to order following established recipes and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety
follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
ensures all dishes meet federal, state, and local standards and regulations
creates visually appealing presentations of sushi and Japanese dishes
interacts positively with customers to enhance their dining experience
manages time efficiently to meet shift demands
