Job Requirements
- Must successfully pass the company’s sushi chef training program and cooking procedures
- Previous experience as sushi chef highly desirable
- Culinary degree a plus
- Approved food handling training as required by local laws
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of sushi bar areas and equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills to greet and interact with guests
- Ability to follow company guidelines on food preparation and presentation

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival to the sushi bar or lounge area
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and provide information about food
- Ensure guests are satisfied with food quality and service
- Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning neta cases, cutting boards, equipment, and floors
- Comply with food portioning, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen recipes, safety and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain kitchen, cooking areas, sushi counters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration units and food storage areas clean, sanitary, and organized
- Report kitchen or sushi equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty and head sushi chef
