Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • One to two years of culinary experience
  • Bi-lingual Japanese and knowledge of Japanese cuisine
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English with superiors colleagues and individuals inside and outside the company
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with others including superiors colleagues and individuals inside and outside the company
  • Ability to basic arithmetic including subtraction addition division multiplication and counting items
  • Ability to analyze and solve simple problems
  • Ability to read and analyze written information
  • ServSafe Certificate

Job Duties

  • Entertain guests through sushi preparation and cultural engagement
  • Prepare sushi and related food items following guidelines and adjusting based on order volume
  • Ensure proper set up of work areas and timely service
  • Accommodate guest allergies and special requirements
  • Operate EVO Grill
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures
  • Maintain clean work stations and utensils
