Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Capability to train and motivate a team
  • Basic cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of store operations and merchandising
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly
  • Proficiency in maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure all associates and managers are wowing the customer through personal contact with customers
  • Responsible for achieving CSAT score goals provided by the District Manager
  • Lead Front End Operations
  • Train staff on the High Fives of Customer Service
  • Ensure that each guest has a fast, friendly checkout
  • Maintain store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness at all times
  • Handle opening and closing store procedures
  • Assist with Front End operations
  • Perform Store Manager duties in their absence
  • Assist in supervising all associates
  • Assist in training all associates
  • Assist in coaching all associates
  • Assist in developing all associates
  • Review all corporate communications and react accordingly
  • Partner with supervisors or corporate office regarding store issues
  • Drive store sales and control expenses
  • Assist payroll process and ensure payroll is within budget
  • Assist in merchandising procedures
  • Adhere to and hold associates accountable to all Five Below's Standard Operating Procedures
  • Responsible for cash handling procedures including preparing and dropping bank deposits
  • Authorize register functions including post voids, returns and discounts
  • Comply with Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Assist in receiving and stocking procedures including unloading merchandise from trucks, checking in shipments, staging and packing out merchandise
  • Assist front end and queue merchandising
  • Drive key metrics including sales, ADS, CSAT scores, and expense control
  • Perform store maintenance including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining stock room
  • Frequently operate cash register
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet in height
  • Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
  • Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
  • Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers
  • Frequently move across sales floor and stock room
  • Identify and follow email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures
  • Remain stationary and upright for 80% of the time
