As an Hourly Manager at Five Below, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store operates smoothly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. With a starting pay of $11.50 per hour, this position is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading teams, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the store. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily activities of store associates, training staff to deliver the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, and managing store operations during opening or closing shifts. You will act as a Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for the store's performance, addressing any urgent issues, and ensuring that all operational tasks are completed efficiently.
In addition to customer service and staff management, the role involves inventory control, merchandising, and store maintenance. You will assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock to ensure products are available and attractively displayed on the sales floor. Partnering with the store leadership team, you will work on merchandising procedures and ensure compliance with company standards like World Recovery. Physical requirements include operating cash registers, handling merchandise up to 25 lbs, climbing ladders, and maintaining the store environment through cleaning and stocking. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight hours.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts
- Physical ability to move merchandise up to 25 lbs and perform tasks such as climbing ladders and standing for long periods
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Legal authorization to work in the country

Job Duties
- Ensure all crew members deliver excellent customer service through personal interaction
- Train crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience
- Oversee daily activities of store associates ensuring effective performance
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock for timely sales floor placement
- Act as Manager on Duty, managing store operations and resolving urgent issues
- Manage store opening and closing procedures including cash handling and security
- Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and procedures
- Drive store sales through merchandising optimization and staff performance
- Partner with leadership team in merchandising and World Recovery processes
- Perform store maintenance including cleaning, garbage removal, and stock room upkeep
